• Club Director/Head Coach

    Coach Mike was born in 1963 in Moscow, began his water polo career playing at 10 years old. after graduating high school at the age of 16, Coach Mike attended Moscow University where he studied physical education and sports, while attending university coach mike competed as a player while studying.

    after graduation in 1983, coach mike remained as a player-coach on the university team and also began what would become his illustrious referring career in water polo.

    in 1991, Coach Mike and his wife moved their family from their homeland, finding home in Florida, he began coaching almost immediately upon arrival in 1992. he would coach his own team for some time as well as several local high schools before in 2005 he joined us at south florida water polo club as a coach.

    while coaching, Michael was also making himself a name as an elite referee with an honest eye and elite game calling ability, from 2002 to 2023 he would rise to the summit of referring, referring several national league finals, collegiate finals, referring at international events such as world championship and reaching the peak while referring the 2021 Tokyo olympic games, including the gold medal match.

    Coach Mike has produced a massive pipeline of athletes who have gone to compete at the collegiate level, this also includes his own children, Elina Keiser and Eric Goldenberg, both Saint Thomas Aquinas Alumni, while Elina went on to study and play at the University of Maryland, Eric studied and competed at UCLA, both are still heavily involved in daily operations of the club as well as helping us organize our annual international tournament.
